Dancin' in my grandpa pants.

Mama and papa like to listen to music while they make and eat dinner. Their favorite channel is the solid gold oldies. Tonight, while they were eating dinner, I hung out in my cradle and jammed out to some awesome music. You will have to turn up the sound on the video to hear the music I was cutting a rug to. Mama tells me that I used to do this in her belly around dinner time. Here is to dance parties in the kitchen. 5-6-7-8!

mama, papa and baby pumpkin.

Hi friends, 

Today I am 2 weeks old. Mama thought it would be fun to celebrate by picking out mama, papa and baby pumpkins at the local pumpkin patch. Mama told me that this would be a quick little outing and that we would be back home in time to nurse... boy was she wrong! The pumpkin patch was super duper busy and much bigger than mama and papa thought it was. The traffic was awful and by the time we picked out our pumpkins, I was ready to eat and over the whole thing. Mama tried so hard to get a few photos of me with the pumpkins, but I wasn't having it. I am beginning to realize when mama says we are going for a quick little trip... it is never a quick little trip. I think she needs to slow down a bit to my speed because lets face it, right now I sort of call the shots. Other than that it was a really nice day and nursing in the car was not so bad. I guess we are all still learning and setting our schedule, something I am sure we will continue to work on for many years to come. Besides, snuggling with papa while we walking through the pumpkin patch was really nice. He is so comfy and it was a beautiful day!

Edelweiss, the Finnster remix

Hello everyone! This is one of my favorite things to do when I wake up in the morning. This is my father's music box from when he was a child. It plays Edelweiss. My mama likes to sing along to it, although she never remembers all of the words... blame it on her lack of sleep or mama memory. Sometimes she makes up new lyrics or just dances around with me. She told me that she loves hanging out with me, especially in the morning when I am wide awake and looking around at the world. I am working on staying up during the day but sometimes it is just too hard. I get sleepy and sometimes fussy. There are times when there is a lot going on and I want to be a part of it, so I keep one eye open and sleep with the other one. This is a new technique that mama is hoping to learn from me so she can sleep and be awake with me at the same time. Once I can talk, I will share this secret with her.

Too legit to quit.

Hello world,
Today I am 11 days old. It is hard to believe that I wasn't even due until October 16th which is this coming Saturday. My mama is very happy that I came early because I was smaller and easier to deliver. The only thing about being smaller is that I don't have many clothing options. My 0-3 month clothing is still very big on me and the only onsies that fit are newborn sized. This has lead mama to using diaper pins on my hats, rolling my pants and taking in some other things. Papa thinks it is funny because it looks like I am wearing MC Hammer pants... so I am working on growing so he doesn't laugh at my so-called Hammer pants. I am beginning to fill out a bit, so I no longer look like a skinny-mini in my funny pants and I think the diaper pin in my beanie makes me look cool! So here is to growing into my clothes, mama's creative way to dress me and that MC Hammer man.

two parts hiccup, one part sneez-aroo!

I had a great night last night! I got wasted on the boob juice and hung out with everyone downstairs. The only downside of my partying was that I got a case of the hiccups. Mama thinks my hiccups are the "cutest thing ever." I am not convinced that they are so cute, they are kind of annoying because they keep me up when I want to sleep. Silly mama had her camera out like usual, so she video taped me with my "cute" hiccups and I gave her a nice big sneez-aroo to go with them... followed by one of my finest dirty diapers. Take that mama! Cheers!

My first walk.

I went on my first walk today with mama, papa and grandma. We waited for the sun to come out and when it did, I decided to sleep in the warm rays as we walked around my neighborhood. Tia and Koa, my furry siblings, came along as well. They were really excited to take me on a walk and wanted to stay next to the stroller the whole time. Papa says that we are going to have to train them to get used to walking with the stroller and not crowd mama so much.

I don't remember much about this first walk since I snoozed through most of it, but mama told me she really enjoyed getting outside since we have been inside a lot lately. She was also happy to get a little exercise. Did you know that mama is a dancer? She hasn't been able to dance much during the last few months and she can't wait to get back to it. She has to wait until the doctor gives her the okay to get back to her favorite dance classes, so for now a little walking goes a long way. She does sneak in a little dance here and there when she is carrying me around, shhhh don't tell her doc.

I have this really cool baby Einstein mobile that my papa's cousin Leslie and Emil sent me. I can't really make out the shapes and colors but I will be able to focus on them soon. Thank you for the wonderful gift Leslie and Emil.

What up yo! This is me chilling in the sun after a big meal. Mama said that I look like a little homeboy.

I was a little jaundice when I was born, so my mama's doctor recommended that I hang out in the sun for a little bit. I have seen Gir-cat do the same thing. It is very relaxing.
