Heard Finn talking to himself after a nap the other day and was able to sneak in and capture 5 minutes of footage before he finally saw me at the end.

Belly laughs.

I have been working on some new things lately. Including one that makes mama and papa laugh and laugh and laugh... yep, that's right folks I have been laughing up a storm lately and tonight I got some good belly laughs in while mama taped me and papa playing around. It is a lot of fun being a baby!

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.

Recently, I figured out that I can get my hands in my mouth. I think I can get my whole hand in there, it hasn't happened yet but that isn't stopping me from trying. Sometimes I wake myself up to find myself chewing on my little fingers. Mama keeps looking in my mouth to check out the teething situation and so far I am all gums, but there are a few spots that are starting to feel more jagged. I have been quite fussy lately unless I am chewing on my fingers, so Mama stopped swaddling me for day time naps so I can chew away which makes me much happier.

Can you believe how quickly I am growing? Mama can't... she says I kept surprising her, something I will continue to do for the rest of my life I am sure.

Who are you yawning at.

I have noticed a trend developing... and I am not sure how I feel about it. Papa and Mama like to copy my noises and faces. Are they mocking me? Hmmmm, perhaps. Mama says she does it to relate to me and to let me know that she is listening. Some times it freaks me out and I just stare at them, and other times I ignore it. I think they just want to be cool like me. I am inventing all kinds of awesome noises and faces lately which make my parents laugh. It is fun learning to communicate. My little coo-s and cries are evolving which is exciting. I have also started to copy the faces Mama and Papa make for me. It is a fun time in the Gray house.

Play that funky music white boy.

Mama and Papa like to play music and sing me. I usually just stare at them but lately I have started smiling and responding to their singing and dancing. I really like listening to music. When I want to relax Jack Johnson and Bob Marley are my favorites and when I want to dance I like oldies. Papa plays classical music for me when I am falling asleep. What kind of music do you like?

P.S. Did you hear my hiccups? Mama still thinks they are the cutest.

Back to the blogaroo

Hi friends,

We have been away for almost two weeks. My mama went back to work last week and then we both caught colds this week... so we have been on a bit of a hiatus. The best part is, this week we will play catch up and post about our exciting adventures of the last two weeks. First we had Halloween, then I turned one month old and had my one month well-baby visit with Dr. Jordan, it snowed for the first time (in my life), I went to voting polls, mama made a cool painting for my room and I have grown out of my newborn clothes. A lot has gone on and I can't wait to tell you all about it.

This video is a fussy one and what life has been like in the Gray house lately, especially with the sniffles and gassy tummy. (For the record the translation of this cry/fuss is: "I am really tired but I don't want to sleep because life is so exciting and I don't want to miss a minute of it.") Mama thought we should post this one because she thinks my fussing is sometimes cute and well, the videos can't all be happy and smiley because let's face it... babies cry a lot throughout the day. Mama and papa are learning the differences in my cries and I am figuring out how to voice my opinion which they are usually very supportive about... except for the middle of the night cries (I think we all have a hard time with those!).

Stay tuned for all of our latest updates. It will be fun to relive the last few weeks since that is 1/3 of my sweet little life. Wowzers how quickly time is flying, this must mean we are having fun.

Dancin' in my grandpa pants.

Mama and papa like to listen to music while they make and eat dinner. Their favorite channel is the solid gold oldies. Tonight, while they were eating dinner, I hung out in my cradle and jammed out to some awesome music. You will have to turn up the sound on the video to hear the music I was cutting a rug to. Mama tells me that I used to do this in her belly around dinner time. Here is to dance parties in the kitchen. 5-6-7-8!

Edelweiss, the Finnster remix

Hello everyone! This is one of my favorite things to do when I wake up in the morning. This is my father's music box from when he was a child. It plays Edelweiss. My mama likes to sing along to it, although she never remembers all of the words... blame it on her lack of sleep or mama memory. Sometimes she makes up new lyrics or just dances around with me. She told me that she loves hanging out with me, especially in the morning when I am wide awake and looking around at the world. I am working on staying up during the day but sometimes it is just too hard. I get sleepy and sometimes fussy. There are times when there is a lot going on and I want to be a part of it, so I keep one eye open and sleep with the other one. This is a new technique that mama is hoping to learn from me so she can sleep and be awake with me at the same time. Once I can talk, I will share this secret with her.

two parts hiccup, one part sneez-aroo!

I had a great night last night! I got wasted on the boob juice and hung out with everyone downstairs. The only downside of my partying was that I got a case of the hiccups. Mama thinks my hiccups are the "cutest thing ever." I am not convinced that they are so cute, they are kind of annoying because they keep me up when I want to sleep. Silly mama had her camera out like usual, so she video taped me with my "cute" hiccups and I gave her a nice big sneez-aroo to go with them... followed by one of my finest dirty diapers. Take that mama! Cheers!

Shapes, lights and shadows oh my!

I have this really cool baby Einstein mobile that my papa's cousin Leslie and Emil sent me. I can't really make out the shapes and colors but I will be able to focus on them soon. Thank you for the wonderful gift Leslie and Emil.
