Papa said he's going to have to put away the bassinet that grandpa built soon. Apparently I am growing too tall. Mama told me to grow tall like papa so I'm just doing what I'm told.

Belly laughs.
I have been working on some new things lately. Including one that makes mama and papa laugh and laugh and laugh... yep, that's right folks I have been laughing up a storm lately and tonight I got some good belly laughs in while mama taped me and papa playing around. It is a lot of fun being a baby!

"Oh, hey ma"
15 weeks.
Hi Friends,
I have been waking up early from my naps lately. Mama thinks I am teething. I really like chewing on things like my blanket, toys and my little fingers. Yesterday mama heard me wake up really early from my nap, so she let me hang out for a bit. I started "talking" to myself and I came up with some cool noises that I experimented with for a little while. I was having fun entertaining myself and moving about my crib and then... mama peeked in on me to see what I was up to and I kicked my legs up in the air and hit the button on my mobile. To my surprise the music started and mama started laughing. When she walked in I gave her a look like... "oh, hey mama... I'm cool, just hanging out listening to music, you can go back to whatever you were doing." It was the first time I had woken up and been content just hanging out by myself. I usually make noises until someone comes in to say hello and then I just smile and stare at them until they pick me up. Mama told me that this little moment made her think about the days when I am older and want to hang out in my room listening to music by myself. She said that she enjoys spending time alone listening to music too. She also told me that she will be interested to see what kind of music I like when I can pick it. For now I listen to what my parents listen to. So far, I like to dance in my craddle to oldies, relax with classical and listen to mama and papa sing their made-up songs.
Oh, did I mention when Papa came home, mama told him all about my magical mobile moment... and then when he came in to see me after my last nap of the day, I did it for him too. He ran down stairs to tell mama with me and they just laughed and laughed. I don't know if I really meant to turn on my mobile but I think I will try it again soon... and I am sure mama will take pictures of it!

Dear Finn,
Did you know at the beginning of 2010, you were just a tiny little cell? And now you are the sweetest little baby in the world. Talk about amazing, I feel like we were just dreaming about you. I am so grateful that you are a happy and healthy baby. Your smiles light up my life. I can’t wait to watch you grow into a little dude and experience the world through your eyes. You will be running around in no time and I will run around right beside you on your many adventures. I am so excited to begin this next year with you in my life. We will laugh, cry, snuggle, dream and play our way through 2011 together. I couldn’t think anything more amazing. Happy New Year Finnian!

Welcome to Wonderland.
Papa, Mama and I started reading Alice and Wonderland by Lewis Carroll this week. This is one of Mama's favorite stories. We watched Tim Burton's version earlier this week and then Phoebe in Wonderland this morning. She was telling me she loves stories like this because she loves to play and wants me to always remember how to do this.
So far we are in the middle of chapter two. I can't wait to see what happens next. I tend to fall asleep after a short while because Mama and Papa have soothing voices that calm me down. So, down the rabbit hole we go... off to nap time.

12 weeks.
On Saturday (Christmas) I turned 12 weeks old, making me almost 3 months old which is exciting! Mama keeps telling me that I am growing so quickly and that before she knows it I will be running around. Sometimes she says that she wishes she could pause time because it is flying before her eyes as I grow and develop with each day that passes. Her way of holding on to these moments is with her camera. One day she will look back on these photos and stories like they were yesterday. Keep taking those pictures mama! Just please don't take nakeee ones and show them to my friends when I am older.
